At first I thought I would have to keep driving, but it actually fit after all; my caravan with the drawbar is about 6 m long, so the gates could still be closed. The towing vehicle could easily be left parked outside. Very good communication, occasionally someone came by to feed the sheep. You can hear the road above slightly, but at night and otherwise it is very quiet. The garden is very natural/rustic, laid out with several crops, fruit, and insect shelters, so please do not expect an English lawn or strictly manicured beds—that wouldn't fit their concept. Surrounded by greenery and in partial shade at least. The surrounding area is hilly; for activities, you should be in good shape on foot or by bike. Good bread rolls at Bäckerei Schmitz, 20 minutes by bike (for me, on a non-motorised gravel bike); others might have to push their bikes without an e-motor, and purely on foot it will take quite a bit longer. Everyday shops are of course available in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, though no longer within walking distance. Cycling over the hills along the Rhine and Ahr is great, with a few detours still in place along the Ahr. The forest is wonderfully accessible with plenty of seating and signs. I was able to complete most of the fitness trail, but there is still plenty to discover. Would certainly love to come back.

We booked very spontaneously and were delighted that Mareike was so flexible and welcomed us anyway! The actual pitch was a bit smaller than expected, but the adjacent grounds were very beautiful! We had a lovely, quiet evening with great company 🐑🐑🐑

I had two very lovely days in Mareike's little paradise - the garden definitely lives up to its name and my dog and I felt very much at home. I briefly met Mareike herself upon arrival; she was super nice and gave me a quick explanation of everything again.

Beautiful property in the Ahr Valley where there's something to discover around every corner! The three of us originally planned to camp on the meadow, but the weather left a lot to be desired. Thanks to quick and straightforward communication with Mareike, we were able to rebook to the cabin on the property – trip saved. Sheltered under the roof, we listened to the rain, watched the sheep grazing, and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Super getaway for a weekend in nature. Would gladly come back!

The stay at #MyParadise was very nice. On the first evening, we were able to make a campfire. The three sheep were our constant companions, watching us from behind the fence while grazing. The next day we went to Rock am Ring, leaving our trailer there. Since the property can be locked, we had no worries about the trailer being gone in the evening. The following night was very quiet, and we heard a fox fighting and the sound of the sheep munching on grass. In addition, deer could be heard in the distance. Pure nature! The pitch was large enough for us, and we were able to level out the slightly uneven ground using the support jacks on our camping trailer. The property itself is very wild, meaning you can discover a lot of different animals if you look closely. Among other things, we saw a snake (probably a grass snake or an adder) by the pond where lilies are blooming. The grass here is very tall, but perfect for the sheep. The toilet, however, is for the hardcore. Using it wasn't the most pleasant experience. Alternatively, we were able to use a public toilet at a camper parking area in the nearby town of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler (50 cents required). If you bring your own toilet, it shouldn't be an issue at all. We can recommend the place and would definitely visit again.
