Our pitch is idyllically situated right in the heart of the wine region, offering direct access to the vineyards. From here, you'll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the vineyards and the majestic Rotenfels. There are countless recreational opportunities, such as hiking, cycling, and canoeing on the Nahe river. The nearest shops are just 3km away. Our first pitch was an instant hit! Peaceful nature and perfect sanitary facilities.
We had a great night at Thomas's. The wine is great and the pitch offers plenty of peace and quiet given its proximity to the highway. The new bathroom is awesome. We will definitely be back!
Dreamlike, the peace and quiet and the view. We simply love being here.
Unfortunately, our first poor experience with Nomady. We had already read in previous reviews that getting in touch with the host was difficult, but that didn't really bother us; we easily found our way around and the directions were clear! We specifically booked this location for the amenities, namely the toilet and shower. However, after we were fully settled in, it turned out the door was locked. We walked around a few times and checked everything, but there were definitely no other facilities available. We then sent a message, but got no response. We tried calling several times with no luck either (the first time it even felt like our call was rejected, though that is purely speculation). The building and setup looked neat overall, but we booked this campsite specifically to use the shower and toilet, neither of which was possible... We completely understand that mistakes can happen, but the fact that it was impossible to get in touch afterwards is simply unacceptable...
So yes, the building itself looked nice (the campsite itself wasn't anything special, but decent enough) and the surrounding area is lovely as well. However, being unable to use the facilities we deliberately booked, and above all, the host being completely unreachable, means I cannot give this more than 1 star...
Top location, great wine self-service station, and Thomas is always available if anything is missing. Everything is very family-friendly and relaxed. We will be back.
Very nice pitch on a great winery. Drank some delicious rosé 😊 Sanitary facilities were top-notch. We would love to come back.
Overall, our stay was very straightforward. We could simply drive there, park, stay the night, and leave the next day without any check-in or check-out process. The location is truly beautiful, and the sanitary facilities are very well-maintained and clean.
However, we found it a bit disappointing that we weren't informed in advance that a wedding would be taking place on the grounds during our stay. To get to the sanitary facilities, and thus the showers and toilets, we had to walk right through the middle of the wedding party every time. We asked via the Nomady chat if this was actually the intended arrangement, but unfortunately, we received no reply.
In the end, we asked the wedding staff. They told us that the wedding guests had been informed that camping guests would be using the facilities. Judging by the looks we got and a few brief conversations, however, very few guests seemed to know this. This made us feel a bit uncomfortable whenever we had to go to the shower or toilet.
That aside, it really is a wonderful and well-kept place that we can generally recommend—and it's surely very quiet, provided there isn't a wedding taking place. 😉
Super beautiful area, uncomplicated booking, perfect toilets and showers, the whole farm is wonderful and decorated with a lot of love. Rotenfels and plenty of worthwhile hikes in the vicinity, we would love to come back, thank you so much ♡
