Park Overnight (PON) offers simple, legal overnight spots in parking areas—ideal for spontaneous and safe travel. The spots are meant for one or more nights and are perfect when you need a quiet, official place to park, sleep and continue your journey.
Picturesquely nestled between steep rock faces lies the Hintersee, a popular destination for excursions. The head of the Felbertal valley is defined by this mountain lake, which was formed by a rockfall in 1495. The ice-cold water is so crystal clear that you can see right to the bottom and watch the fish swimming about. Quite busy during the day (day-trippers block the camper pitches), but lovely early in the morning and in the evening, and a good starting point for hikes.
A scenically wonderful place, infrastructure as described, unfortunately the cleanliness in the toilet facilities was very very poor
A great place to spend the night. Unfortunately, the toilets were very dirty. Since we didn't depend on them, only 1 star deducted.
Great location!
If you arrive before 7:00 PM, you'll be sharing the parking space in the top row with day-trippers. It gets quieter in the evening! Really a nice spot, toilets and waste disposal included.
Wonderful view of the national park.
