Great location for an overnight stay for us, between Lake Walen and the Pizol area. Everything was tip-top!
Simple but nice spot. There is plenty to watch with the chickens and alpacas.
Good location with stunning views, Loved the llamas and chickens! There is some background noise from the nearby motorway, but it didn’t take away from our enjoyable stay.
Magnificent 10/10
It’s not a great spot for camping. The autobahn is really close; even though you can't see it, the noise is constant. At 6 a.m., when everyone was heading to work, I had to go to my car for earplugs just to get another hour of sleep. The location isn't particularly attractive or cozy—there’s a railway line, power lines, and a factory nearby. Customers are constantly driving past on the access road to the farm shop, which makes it feel less private. Plus, the dairy farm itself is more like a small industrial plant; it doesn't have a cozy feel. Was it an interesting experience? Definitely. Did I want to spend time hanging out there? Definitely not. I just wanted to pack up and leave to go hiking, cycling, or something similar. On the plus side, the people were friendly—that’s true. The mountains are beautiful, though they are beautiful everywhere in Switzerland. It’s conveniently located—close to the lake, the shop, and the mountains. This place is better suited for an overnight stopover than for a leisure camping trip. It might be better in a motorhome since there’s less noise inside, but it wasn't great in a tent.
A wonderful, quiet place to switch off and enjoy. Irene, Robert, and the boys love their life on the farm with the animals. You can really tell. Upon arrival, we immediately got a tour including the cow shed, milk and water refill station, and the farm shop. Alpacas, chickens, and cows 🥰. Only the toilet and shower are a bit small, but clean and functional. It was completely sufficient for us.
A patch of meadow, table and benches available, electricity can be connected directly at the meadow (narrow plugs only), in the morning chickens and alpacas await behind the fence, the farm shop is very nicely designed. Perfect for an overnight stopover, also suitable as a starting point for hikes. There is a tree providing shade. Communication with the hosts is great!
