Naturerlebnis Lützelhof

Basically a beautiful farm with a wide range of activities (farm shop, petting zoo, playground, free stable tours). However, since we are not fans of 'cuddle camping' (distance between campers was only 1-2 meters and there were a total of 20 vehicles on site instead of the 5 described), we were somewhat disappointed. We were blocked in at our spot and couldn't leave until 11:30 AM because the neighbor only woke up and was ready to move then. The price-performance ratio for this experience wasn't right for us—more expensive than a campsite and no privacy.

Honestly, we were not thrilled with our night there, but this review needs some nuance: Due to an issue on the road, we arrived 15 minutes after the check-in deadline. We had notified them by phone beforehand, and the person we spoke to simply said: "Come on over, you'll find space and electricity, and you'll find the showers and toilets on your own, too." So we arrived with no further instructions and no one to welcome us, and we saw that indeed, there were no marked or numbered pitches—everyone just sets up wherever they want. There were enough electrical hookups. We spent quite some time looking for the sanitary facilities, which are actually prefabricated containers within the farm complex (so on the other side of the sleeping area). The setting, without being idyllic, isn't unpleasant, but it is neither more nor less than a field between livestock and crops, right below the main road. In our situation, we felt the price (60 CHF per night) was not justified. During our trip in Switzerland, we found much better places in the 40 to 50 CHF per night price range. But we were only staying for one night, so we couldn't take advantage of the extra things the place had to offer, and we don't have children, so the child-friendly facilities didn't really make sense for us. We thought that with children, the place would make much more sense (lots of play equipment, animals...). So overall, I think the place isn't suited for just spending a night without using the facilities, but it might have been different for a longer stay and with children. In the meantime, given our situation, we found it far too expensive for what it was. That being said, the people on site were not unpleasant, and the sanitary facilities were clean.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything on-site was exactly as described, and it's a great place for children too. The farm shop also offers everything you need.

Good spot with everything you need, great for kids with a petting zoo and a nice large farm shop. The highway is very close and personally, it bothered us.
