### ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5 stars – Lovely pitch with very hospitable hosts We had a wonderful stay at **Farmstay Butul in Slovenia**. Tatjana and her family are truly exceptionally kind, warm, and hospitable. You immediately feel welcome, and we felt very comfortable there. The view is particularly beautiful – the farm's location is truly something special. The farm shop is also very well stocked. There is delicious homemade wine as well as cheese, honey, spices, herb blends, and other homegrown/homemade products. We also tasted the wine and enjoyed it very much. 🍷 A quick heads-up for those who aren't fond of dogs: the farm dog roams around from time to time. It didn't bother us at all – on the contrary, we were delighted by the friendly evening visits. 🐕 The surrounding area is also ideal for excursions. Beautiful coastal towns such as **Piran and Izola** are easy to reach by car as well as by bicycle. You can stroll around wonderfully, enjoy the coast, and spend lovely days by the sea. The drive up with our setup (pickup truck and caravan) was trouble-free for us. We had a caravan with a body length of approx. 4.50 m, and since I am quite good at maneuvering the rig, driving up the serpentines was very manageable for us. However, with a larger caravan or one that is difficult to maneuver, you should assess the approach carefully beforehand. For caravans, you should be a bit careful when choosing a pitch and definitely bring **leveling ramps/chocks**. There is only one truly flat pitch. If that one is already occupied, the caravan will stand at a slight angle – but that can easily be compensated for with chocks. For **campervans and smaller motorhomes**, there are significantly more pitch options, as you can drive further onto the property with them. Especially small campervans, such as a **VW bus with a short wheelbase or comparable vehicles**, have a much wider choice of spots here. The only major downside for us was unfortunately the **sanitary facilities**. The toilet and shower are located together in a single room, and there is only one bathroom for all campers. If multiple guests are staying at the same time, this can certainly lead to waiting times. Hot water was available at all times and everything worked in principle, but the sanitary facilities are clearly showing their age and, in our view, have become rather borderline. Overall, we give **4 out of 5 stars**. The one-star deduction is solely for the bathroom situation. Otherwise, it was a very lovely and relaxing stay for us with a fantastic view, delicious wine, great excursion options, and above all, very warm hosts. We would definitely come back. 🍷😊

We have enjoyed the hospitality of Tatjana and her family very much and had a very good time. It’s such a lovely place with amazing views and not many people around. Quite a difference to a big campsite. We can highly recommend staying here :)

It was simply incredible - our absolute favorite place to stay in Slovenia. We had a spot right on the meadow with a breathtaking view of the vineyards and the sea. Tatjana and her family are so kind and welcoming, and you absolutely have to try their wine. The sanitary facilities are also very clean. Thank you so much for this wonderful stay.

We stayed with our rooftop tent near the farmhouse, nestled between olive trees and grapevines, with a beautiful evening view of Koper and the sea. Tatjana makes products from everything grown on the farm; from wine, syrups for drinks, and oil to cheese and natural cosmetics. Her family, including the dog, are very nice and also have great tips for the farm shop. I only wish there had been a better toilet and shower given the rather high price. These are located together in a very small 'container' that gets very stuffy and hot. However, you could also shower outdoors, which was the better option.
